I am getting CUP normalised files that are just showing up in the structure, at worst, as the main document and then footnotes and endnotes, or at best, just the main chapter headings with no subheadings. Is there anything that I can do – I am guessing not because that would mean fiddling with the Word document from CUP? Or is there any merit in “educating” CUP? Is there any benefit to them in “normalising” a document more fully.
I have found in the past, with one document that was normalised correctly, that I was able to more accurately assess the quality of my index, in terms of indexed terms and density.
I really just wondered if anyone had any thoughts or advice.
