Is there a way to create the final single index from multiple chapter files other than using Referenced Documents? I seem to remember someone said there was an alternative method?

Jan Wright and I have written a guide to doing this with Referenced Documents. I just need to make a couple of edits and then it’ll be available.

I’m interested to know reasons for wanting a different solution though Wendy.

I’m not necessarily wanting a different solution – I’ve used RDs successfully in the past. But I thought Jan Wright had found an easier alternative, so I was interested. But perhaps I misunderstood.

I’m about to embark on a commission where the publisher wants separate chapter files, so I wanted to check I knew all the options.
